It's the worst feeling to realize that you left behind something like your sunscreen, which ends up with you having to go to a local store as soon as you arrive (which is exactly what you don't want to do).
Get ready to have a stress free beach vacation full of sunshine, saltwater, and tan lines!
This post is all about what to pack for a beach vacation in order to make sure you leave nothing behind.
What To Pack For A Beach Vacation
1. Tinted Face Sunscreen
Hands down the best tinted face sunscreen you could own. I wear this face sunscreen on a daily basis even when I'm not at the beach.
If you hate that white film that typical sunscreens leave over your face, then you will greatly appreciate a tinted sunscreen. I even wear it when I don't feel like wearing make up because it gives my face a slightly more tan appearance and makes my skin look smooth.
2. Beach Sandals
You simply cannot go on a beach vacation without a pair of sandals. You need a cute pair of sandals that are super easy to slip on and off for the beach and can be worn with your cute summer outfits.
I LOVE these beach sandals so much (I have a pair in black) and seriously wear them all the time. If you have flat feet like me, then your are going to appreciate the arch support they provide.
3. Beach Sunglasses
You would hate to leave behind your sunglasses when going on a beach vacation. Especially, when you have a super cute pair of sunglasses. No one wants to have to go the store and buy a pair of temporary sunglasses you don't love.
You can never go wrong with a classic round pair of sunglasses. If you are a fan of large frames, then you are going to love these!
4. Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker
When going on a beach vacation you hands down need to pack a bluetooth speaker. I mean, half of the fun at the beach is jamming out to your favorite music.
This waterproof speaker is perfect for the beach because it is sandproof, dustproof, splashproof, and rainproof. Of course, don't partially or fully submerge it underwater.
5. Bathing Suit Cover Up
Of course you must pack a cute bathing suit cover up to wear when you're driving to the beach, walking through the hotel lobby, etc.
If you prefer bathing suit cover ups that are not full coverage and are a crochet style, then you are going to LOVE this swim suit cover up, especially the slits on the sides.
6. Sun Bum Aloe
We all know that feeling your skin gets when you spent a little too much time in the sun. Whether your skin is sunburnt or simply dehydrated from being at the beach all day, this aloe vera gel is a life saver.
Apply it after a long day in the sun in order to soothe your skin and help maintain your tan. Plus, it feels amazing on the skin!
7. S'well Water Bottle
You definitely want to keep a water bottle in your beach bag at all times when going on a beach vacation. It is so so so important to stay hydrated, especially in the hot sun.
This S'well water bottle is seriously the best water bottle you could own. They are so good that my entire family is now hooked on them. It will keep your water cold for up to 41 hours and hot drinks hot for up to 18 hours.
8. Sun Bum Lip Balm
Just like the rest of your skin, your lips also need to be protected from the sun. I recommend keeping at least one sun bum lip balm in your beach bag, so that you can always remember to apply it when you are at the beach.
This lip balm is made with aloe and Vitamin E in order to moisturize your lips and SPF 30 to help protect them from the sun.
9. Beach Bag
Having a quality beach bag can make all of the difference on your beach vacation. It is arguably the most important beach essential since it carries all of your belongings during your beach day.
This beach bag checks all of the boxes such as zipper closure, large, light weight, many pockets, water resistant, and more. Plus, the pineapple print is so freaking cute.
10. Large Beach Blanket
If you are the type of person who loves to lay out on the beach, then you need to bring this large beach blanket with you to your next beach vacation.
After using a beach blanket instead of a beach towel, you are not going to know how you ever relied on a beach towel for sun bathing. It comes with six stakes and four corner pockets, so you don't have to worry about it blowing away.
11. Beach Book
I mean, I don't think there is a more perfect book to read during a beach vacation. This romantic beach read is a great way to relax and enjoy your beach day under the sun.
Turn off your phone, sit back, and get lost in this rom com.
12. Beach Towel
If you are travelling by plane to your beach vacation, then you are going to need to pack a super light weight beach towel that doesn't occupy too much room in your suit case.
This 100% cotton Turkish towel is thin, quick drying, absorbent, and perfect for travelling.
13. Mini Wet Brush
I don't know about you, but my hair can get pretty crazy after a beach day.
I recommend keeping a mini wet brush in your beach bag so that you can brush through your hair (after spraying in the sun bum leave-in conditioner) before going anywhere.
14. Large Hair Clips
Large claw hair clips are extremely helpful to have during a beach vacation. You can easily clip your hair up and get it out of your face without having to deal with a hair elastic that tugs on your hair.
Plus, you don't have to battle with the crazy wind on the beach when you have a claw clip.
