Oahu Day Trip
1. Breakfast - Hawaiian Aroma Caffe At Beachcomber Waikiki
Before all of the real fun begins, you need to stop for some breakfast. The day is going to be packed full of fun activities, so I recommend grabbing some breakfast at a place that will be more quick so that you don't waste anytime.
If you are staying in the Honolulu area, then I recommend Hawaiian Aroma Caffe. It is located inside the hotel – Beachcomber Waikiki. View Menu Here
Address: 2300 Kalakaua Ave. Honolulu, HI
2. Waterfall Hike - Lulumahu Falls
After breakfast, make your way to this BEAUTIFUL waterfall hike. Lulumahu Falls is a more advanced hike that requires you to cross multiple streams using stepping stones. If you are up for the challenge, it is definitely worth it.
At the end of the hike you will reach a breathtaking waterfall that even has a small pool of water at the bottom that you can take a dip in (bring a bathing suit).
*Lock your car and do not leave any valuable belongings in your vehicle, car break-ins are very common in the parking lots of hiking trails*

3. Waimānalo Beach
After hiking at Lulumahu Falls, it is time to relax at one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Waimānalo Beach is a more secluded beach that not many tourists know about; you will find more locals at this beach.
This "hidden gem" is perfect for relaxing at after your hike. Sit back, listen to the waves, read a book, sunbathe, or even go for a swim!

4. Lunch - Liko's Tap & Table
Time for lunch! After relaxing at the beach for a couple of hours, you are probably going to be ready for some food.
I recommend heading over to Liko's Tap & Table, which is a perfect spot to grab some lunch. This waterfront restaurant has optional outdoor seating. It is a sports bar restaurant with stunning views and amazing food!
5. China Walls
After lunch, I recommend stopping by China Walls, which is only a short drive from Liko's Tap & Table. China Walls is a one of those locations you just have to see. The formation of lava rock ledges and cliffs above the ocean is a very popular spot for *experienced* surfers and jumpers. When the surf is calm enough, it is common to see small crowds at China Walls that come to cliff jump.
China Walls can be a very dangerous location due to the rough waters crashing into the lava rocks and the slippery algae. Therefore, be very cautious when visiting. DO NOT STAND NEAR THE EDGE WHEN THE WATER IS ROUGH.
However, it is a beautiful lookout and is totally worth stopping by.
6. Spitting Cave
After stopping by China Walls, you can start to head over to Spitting Cave, which is only a 2 minute drive from China Walls.
Similar to China Walls, Spitting Cave is such a unique location and site to see. It is a sea cliff shoreline, where large waves crash into a cave, causing the water to come rushing out. This rushing water creates the appearance that the cave is “spitting”.
The vastness of the ocean, the edge of the sea cliffs, and the high heights make this location one of a kind.
DO NOT GO NEAR THE EDGE OF THE SEA CLIFFS, IT IS VERY DANGEROUS!

7. Sunset Cruise
Lastly, to finish off your extremely fun and busy Oahu day trip, it is time for your sunset cruise. Before traveling to Oahu, I recommend booking a few excursions and one NEEDS to be a sunset cruise with Hawaiian Ocean Charters.
This private charter allows you to take up to six guests and is 2.5 hours long (time can be extended at an extra cost).
You have the opportunity to go swimming, see Diamond Head in a different perspective, potentially see wildlife, and most importantly enjoy a stunning Hawaiian sunset.
