I don't mean to brag, but I am a self proclaimed coffee shop connoisseur. . . specifically for St. Augustine, FL. As a local who works from their laptop, I spend quite a bit of time bouncing from coffee shop to coffee shop, so I am beyond excited to share the best coffee shops for getting some work done, chatting with friends, or simply just grabbing a cup of coffee to go!
The good news is that there is a coffee shop for everyone in St. Augustine, whether you are a local looking to get out of the house or a tourist exploring downtown. You are going to learn about all kinds of coffee shops from those located in the historic town, beachside, and more!

Best Coffee Shops In St. Augustine, FL
Best Coffee Shops For Working:
1. The Kookaburra Dondi

The Kookaburra Dondi is hands down one of my favorite go to coffee shops when I need to get a lot of computer work done. There is plenty of seating, so no need to worry about not being able to find a table.
The atmosphere is laid back and beachy (perfection). You will see many others working on their laptops as well, which is always motivating!
This location is typically busiest during 9AM-10:30AM, so if you are wanting to beat the crowd, then I recommend getting there before those hours.
2. DOS Coffee & Wine

DOS coffee & wine is a perfect spot to have a small business meeting, get computer work done, school work, etc. It has a cozy, rustic atmosphere that will make you feel comfortable whether you are looking for an iced coffee on a hot summer day or a hot cappuccino during the winter!
This is a popular spot for many individuals who work remotely. You will see a mix of people there to just relax and those there to work!
3. The Kookaburra Compound

If there is one thing about St. Augustine, it is that you are never far away from a Kookaburra. This Australian-American coffee shop has multiple locations including the Kookaburra Compound.
This is another great coffee shop location that has plenty of seating and outlets for those looking to have a productive coffee shop work session.
Personally, my favorite seats are those facing the window on the "bar" like table.
4. The Kookaburra 312

Another great Kookaburra location to get some work done! This Kookaburra is located not far from the 312 bridge, so it is in town near all of your usual go to stores and locations such as Target, Chick-fil-a, Marshalls, and more.
This location is typically busy with many people stopping by to pick up their coffee and go. But, there are also a handful of individuals working away on their laptops. If you enjoy being around people and the more "busy" atmosphere, then you should consider this coffee spot!


Best Coffee Shops In Historic Downtown:
1. Chocolattes
Chocolattes is an adorable, rustic coffee and bakery shop that is perfect for grabbing a sweet pick me up, coffee, tea, or even breakfast! It is small and cozy with limited indoor and outdoor seating.
Whether it is a rainy Sunday or a sunny Saturday, you can never go wrong when swinging by Chocolattes.
2. Relámpago Coffee Lab & Roasting

It is common for old homes to be refurnished into local coffee shops, gift shops, restaurants, and more in downtown St. Augustine. . . after all it is the oldest city in the U.S. !
So, that's why Relámpago Coffee Lab is such a cute and unique location. You will find the inside of the coffee shop to be homey (has a brick fireplace) as well as the back porch where you can enjoy your delicious cup of coffee. There are also baked goods you may choose to enjoy with your drink.
3. Crucial Coffee Café
Hours: Everyday 9am–10pm
Location: 26 Charlotte St, St. Augustine, FL 32084
Hands down one of the cutest coffee shops in St. Augustine. If you are taking a stroll downtown on a hot summer day and need an iced coffee or tea to cool you off, then this is the place to go. Or, if you are visiting the nights of lights and needs a hot drink to warm up you up!
There are a few outdoor seats, but the seating is limited.
4. St. Augustine Coffee House

St. Augustine Coffee House in located in the heart of historic downtown on George Street. It is a perfect spot to stop by during all seasons. . . whether you are looking for a fall drink, iced drink, bite to eat, hot cocoa, or even a frozen sangria!
Grab your drink of choice and/or a bite to eat and enjoy your goodies on their patio.
5. Coffee House Realty Cafe

The Coffee House Realty Cafe was not playing around when they said "Coffee House"! Enjoy a variety of coffee options (iced or hot) and even a small bite to eat while sitting in this old house that fits perfectly into the historic scene of the city.
It is a quaint and inviting space full of art, plants, and is overall just a great place to just slow down. Enjoy your coffee inside the house or on the porch!

If you are spending the day at the beach, then you should consider swinging by the beachside Kookaburra. Just like the other Kookaburra locations you can find the same tasty menu options!
This location has outdoor patio seating as well as a few indoor seating options. Or, if you are looking to just pick and go, you can just go to the side window without ever going inside!
2. Zaba's

Zaba's is located just down the street from the Beachside Kookaburra. It is a small, but great coffee spot with tons to offer from breakfast, lunch, and of course coffee.
There is limited indoor seating, but if you are looking to just pick up and go then this is a great option. During the less busy hours, you can find a spot to sit at inside. It is a perfect local spot that is worth stopping by before hitting the beach!
